Quitting Quasi Journal
My personal journey from quasi to total ED freedom
|
I started writing this in 2019 when I made the decision to quit quasi and commit to full recovery. This decision was, by far, one of the best and most important ones I’ve ever made, and I am incredibly grateful every day to the me who took that leap and fought for my ED freedom.
I never intended to share this journal whilst writing it but have decided to do so now because I feel it provides a valuable insight into the reality of my experience going from quasi to full recovery. The journal has been minimally edited so that it retains its honesty and authenticity but I have added in some activity ideas and work sheets at the end of each chapter which mirror some of the practical things I was doing at that time in my journey. The journal is available as an eBook (instantly downloadable and printer friendly) and is available for purchase through the link below: |

Reading Emily’s Quitting Quasi Journal was so inspiring and useful to me. Reading it has really prompted me to evaluate all of the places where I have just got comfortable in my own recovery and realise that just because things may look normal and ‘better’ on the outside, only you know the ways your ED is still running the show on the inside. Emily shows in raw honest detail, how the last pushes in recovery can be so difficult but by getting rid of the remaining ED rules, your life can be so much fuller and freedom can be achieved! This journal serves as a big reminder that nothing worth having comes from inside your comfort zone.
The work sheet pages are also amazing and allow you to reflect on your own journey, what you want your life to look like, and what things you can push yourself to do to achieve it! I’d definitely recommend to anyone going through recovery, or people supporting family or friends as I think this latter stages are often over looked, misunderstood and not spoken about enough.
